Welcome to part two of a three part series on Mobility as a Service (MaaS) and its future in your area. This series of workshops is organized by the Association for Commuter Transportation's (ACT) Red River Chapter and assisted by Smart Mobility 21 (www.smartmobility21.org).
After the introduction of MaaS, it is important to explore how such a solution can be a boom or bust development. Part Two of the Mobility as a Service (MaaS) workshop:
MaaS Opportunity or Threat?  Field evaluations through Transportation Motility; preparing a competitive Transportation ecosystem, will look at field examples that will have an impact on the success of a MaaS solution. This second part of the MaaS workshop will focus on the requirements and considerations for an enhanced user experience. The workshop's main focus will be:
1. The Mobility Ecosystem of the End-User: Field Experience (from access – to infrastructure – to service dependability) This section of the presentation will respond to the following questions:
  • Do modes suit all types of riders?
  • Is my mode competitive with other modes?
  • Does the existing infrastructure appeal to riders?
  • How impactful is a rider's experience?
2. The application user experience (modern trends and drivers for use and retention).
The workshop will be hosted at Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT) on Wednesday 22nd, 2017 from 3:00pm – 5:00pm. TXDOT is located on 7600 Washington Ave, Houston, TX 77007 parking is available onsite.
Once again, the workshop should pave the way to a healthy discussion among the participants. This workshop is aimed at transportation professionals, TMAs, city managers, planners and developers in transportation.
